1. Abhishek Bachchan’s Birthday Celebration in Maldives
Abhishek Bachchan brought in his 40th birthday with family - Amitabh, Jaya, Shweta, Aishwarya and daughter Aradhya. The Bachchans had planned a holiday away in Maldives to celebrate junior Bachchan’s big day. Amitabh shared this picture of the family sailing on a yacht on his Facebook page, with the message:

2. Girls Should Be Allowed to Wear What they Want to: Vidya Balan
Actress Vidya Balan has opined that women should not be controlled or judged over what they wear. Speaking at ‘Youth for Unity’ event in Mumbai on Thursday evening, Vidya said:
It is important that one’s view point changes. Girls should be allowed to wear what they want to. Her honour is not related to their clothes. The respect for them (girls and women) should not depend on the length of their clothes.Vidya Balan (PTI)
The actress also added that, “It is important for girls to stand on their own feet like boys. There should be no distinction between girls and boys. Even our world is moving to equal space.” On the subject of eve-teasing, the National-award winning actress feels girls should act fearlessly.
“I think eve-teasing happens everywhere, at some places the incidents are more and some there are less. I have not experienced it after college. Girls have to be strong either (to) beat them up or abuse or yell,” she added. Vidya has just wrapped the shoot for Te3n produced by Sujoy Ghosh, in which she will be seen next.
3. Arjun Kapoor to Start Shooting for Half-Girlfriend in April
Arjun Kapoor has clarified that there is no delay in the production of his next big project Half-Girlfriend with Shraddha Kapoor. Reacting to news that the film has been delayed due to date problems, Arjun said:
I’ll begin Half Girlfriend once R Balki sir’s film (Ki and Ka) releases… That was always the intention. A lot of people are assuming that Half Girlfriend is delayed. The film was never delayed.Arjun Kapoor (IANS)
For now Arjun is also busy receiving feedback for his television debut Khatron Ke Khiladi, which he shot for last year.
4. Vijay’s Theri Trailer Is Out
The trailer of Tamil star Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s new film Theri was released on Friday. The teaser shows Vijay as a good cop and vigilante who goes around bashing up the bad guys. While the visuals and storyline look predictable, the film has a certain slickness and style to it. Directed by Atlee, Theri is scheduled to release later this year, and also co-stars Samantha and Amy Jackson.
5. Radhika Apte Joins Rajinikanth in Malaysia for Kabali
Actress Radhika Apte has joined Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in Malaysia for the final shooting schedule of Pa Ranjith’s Kabali. The actress plays the wife of an ageing gangster in the film, being portrayed by Rajinikanth. The film is reportedly loosely based on the life of gangster Kabaleeswaran.
Radhika had earlier congratulated Rajinikanth for his Padma Vibhushan through Twitter as well.
