Sonam Kapoor who’s been trolled on Twitter a few times for making somewhat frivolous posts on social media defended herself recently. At the launch of the Neerja trailer in Mumbai on Thursday, the actress said:

I think my problem is that I only work with my heart and I speak with my heart, I don’t use my brain. Whatever I do work, talks or relationships I do it with my heart only.

We still don’t get the meat and misogyny tweet, but well played Sonam!

Actress and former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai, was spotted sporting a totally deglamourised look for the forthcoming biopic Sarabjit. Directed by Omung Kumar, who previously helmed Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom, the film is going in for a gritty, realistic look. Aishwarya who plays Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur, was bespectacled and was seen wearing a grubby looking simple salwar kameez. Apart from Mumbai, Sarabjit will be extensively shot at several places in Punjab and Delhi.

The man behind films like Stanley Ka Dabba, Hawa Hawai and the creative director of Taare Zameen Par, Amol Gupte, has been roped in to direct the biopic on badminton champion Saina Nehwal. When asked how the film will be different from biopics on sportspersons like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom, Gupte said:

How many times have we encountered either a male or a female Indian get prime ranking in a world sport? None – except Saina Nehwal. That makes it different, doesn’t it? It’s a story of a ‘tigress beti’, ‘princess beti’ who has set fire to the badminton court with her prowess like no one else before.

While the cast of the film is yet to be finalised, Gupte added that the film is going to be an inspirational story, which will boost the spirit of the entire country.

As you know Akshay Kumar will be playing the villain in Rajinikanth starrer Robot 2.0. Khiladi Kumar stepped into the role recently after Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger reportedly declined the role due to differences over the script. News is that Akshay will be charging around Rs 25 crore for his appearance in the big budget sequel. Considering the buzz that Schwarzenegger was about to be paid something to the tune of Rs 120 crore if he came on board, the makers have made a huge saving. Hopefully, they’ll invest that into giving us some kick-ass VFX and animation on the next Robot instalment.
