For more than a decade and a half, it’s been a tradition for Pixar to release an innovative short with each feature. Although the studio started with a winning thread of short films in the 1980s, these were put on hold to focus on their big leap in feature films. If you’ve missed some of these, now’s the time to catch up!
Lava
When Pixar fans would flock to theatres to watch their latest film Inside Out, they will be tricked into watching an animated short titled Lava.
Lava is a musical love story between two volcanoes, one above the sea level, and the other down under, singing and pining for each other through millions of years. A dazzling rendition of awe inspiring creativity, this Pixar film is going to dissolve your heart. Watch a sneak peak from the short in the video above.
Geri’s Game
Geri’s Game was the first Pixar short after their triumphant move in the feature arena, and it was attached to the theatrical release of A Bug’s Life in 1998. And it’s been a delightful journey for viewers to get short animated wonders with each Pixar release.
