1. Sridevi Cremated with State Honours

Sridevi was accorded a funeral with state honours which included draping her body in the national tricolour and a gun salute before the cremation. Bollywood bid farewell to the star at the Vile Parle cremation grounds after paying their last respects at Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala, Andheri. Boney, Khushi and Jahnvi Kapoor as well as Sridevi’s step-son Arjun Kapoor and brothers-in-law Anil and Sanjay Kapoor travelled with her remains in a truck as a part of the procession. Her funeral is estimated to have attracted the highest number of mourners.

2. Madhuri, Ajay Devgn, Kajol & Others Pay Their Respects to Sridevi

Sridevi’s body was kept at the Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala, Andheri on Wednesday morning, where family, colleagues, friends and fans were given an opportunity to pay their last respects to the popular actor. Several actors, filmmakers and friends of the late star came to offer their prayers and wish the popular cinema icon a final goodbye. Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn and Aishwarya Rai were among those who arrived to offer their prayers and condolences.

3. I’m Honoured to Be Cast in Tumhari Sulu’s Tamil Remake: Jyothika

Naachiyaar actor, Jyothika will star in the remake of Vidya Balan’s 2017 film, Tumhari Sulu. And the actor is thrilled to work in the Tamil remake.

On bagging the project, Jyothika, according to Times of India, said in a statement:

“I'm a big Vidya (Balan) fan. I love her voice and command over Hindi, which is rare in Bollywood today. I’ve watched every Vidya film, and Tumhari Sulu, in my opinion, is her most loveable work. I feel honoured to be stepping into her shoes. Kudos to the producers and to director Suresh (Triveni) for making such a lively, honest, real and feel-good film. ”

Actor Rani Mukerji today remembered Bollywood diva Sridevi as a "guiding light" in her life, saying her untimely death is the most painful thing she has dealt with after her father's demise.

The actor said she felt close to Sridevi, known has India's first female superstar, considered her an "inspiration personally and professionally."
