Ex-Indian cricket team captain Mohd Azharuddin turned 53 on February 8th and Emraan Hashmi, the star of his Bollywood biopic, gifted the ace sportsman with the first look from Azhar.
The 36 year old ‘kissing’ legend shared his first look from the film via social media. Emraan seems to have soaked in the character and takes us back in time with this sepia toned picture, in which he’s wearing a white team jersey. The actor specially shot this photograph inspired from Azhar’s early days as a test cricketer in the eighties, as a gesture of saying ‘thank you’ for all the mentoring Azhar has done, and for all that he got to learn from one of India’s most loved cricket captains.
The film’s makers also shared a video tribute to Mohd Azharuddin, reminiscing his best moments in cricket history. The Tony D’Souza film will hit screens on May 13th, 2016.
