The latest instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, got a decent opening in Indian theatres on day one. The Tom Cruise-starrer, which released on 27 July in four languages - English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu collected Rs 13.5 crore at the ticket window. The paid previews on Thursday raked in Rs 37 lakhs.

The film also marks the second highest Hollywood opening weekend of 2018.
The rush to watch the latest Tom Cruise action-adventure also seems to have hit the good run Dharma Productions’ Dhadak was having at the box-office.
This sixth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise released in a total of 1750 screens across India. The box office collection on Saturday and Sunday stood at Rs 16.65 cr and Rs 25.95 cr, respectively.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout, directed by Christopher McQuarrie is a Paramount Pictures film that’s been distributed by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures in India. The last Mission: Impossible film, Rogue Nation, made Rs 73 crore in India, with excellent reviews and a great word-of-mouth.
Meanwhile, Avengers: Infinity War continues to be the biggest Hollywood hit in India with a net collection of over Rs 200 crore. The Marvel film posted opening weekend numbers of over Rs 120 crore.
