Rabiya Khan, mother of the late Jiah Khan, has written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and appeals to him as she seeks justice for the alleged homicide of her daughter. In the open letter, Rabiya Khan states that most of the forensic evidence found in her daughter’s case points towards certain homicide and not suicide as it was earlier ruled. The grieving mother shared her grief on Mann Ki Baat, the PM’s radio programme.

All the forensic evidence that I have obtained from experts in India and England point towards homicide. Their analysis shows that the injuries on my daughter’s body were inconsistent with the alleged suicidal hanging and all forensic evidence strongly suggests that she was murdered and then hanged to make it look like a suicide.

The Bombay High Court, in July 2014, transferred the controversial case to the CBI in hopes that a further investigation would be launched in case the death was to be found a homicide.
