UK police have finally caught an alleged robber who seems to be the doppelganger of actor David Schwimmer, aka Ross from Friends. In October, the Blackpool Police put out an appeal for information on social media on an alleged thief who was caught on tape stealing beer cans. The post went viral as several people pointed out that the man bore an uncanny resemblance to David Schwimmer.
The actor himself took to Twitter and posted a spoof video in which he recreated the theft. “ Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation,” he tweeted.
The Lancashire Police recently posted an update mentioning that the man had been tracked down in London and thanked Schwimmer for his support.
