Rajinikanth’s Kaala hit theatres worldwide on 7 June, as scheduled, after the Supreme Court, on 6 June, refused to stay its release. However, the usual fan frenzy surrounding a Rajinikanth film which was initially absent, returned with fans going all-out celebrating Thalaivar’s new release.

2. Anand Mahindra Acquires Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ Car for His Museum

A while ago, Executive Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra had requested to have the car (Mahindra Thar) from the poster of Kaala with Rajinikanth placed in his auto museum. It seems that his wish has come true as the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai is now in possession of the car - the Mahindra Thar.

Ranbir Kapoor is coming back to the big screen with Sanju, based on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt. While the film’s teaser has sent fans into a tizzy, director Raju Hirani has spiked our interest further by releasing posters of the film where Ranbir looks like a splitting image of Sanjay Dutt, besides giving us a glimpse of the various characters part of the biopic. Here’s the poster featuring Dia Mirza who plays Sanjay Dutt’s wife, Maanyata Dutt’s role in the film.

Speaking about her part, Dia said, "I'm very, very excited about the Dutt biopic and my work in it. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself by thinking about the fact that it might take my career as an actor in a new direction".

4. Janhvi & Ishaan’s New Poster Showcases Tender ‘Dhadak’ Moments

So, the remake of Sairat, Dhadak is just around the corner. Well, almost. The Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer is slated for a 20 July release. Karan Johar shared some ‘moments’ of the film in the guise of a poster, ahead of the trailer.

The new poster of sorts depicts Ishaan dousing Janhvi in hues of blue and pink. The film is a co-production between Zee Studios and Dharma Productions. The Shashank Khaitan directorial marks the debut of Janhvi Kapoor. Ishaan Khatter was recently seen in Iranian director Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds.

5. Samantha Akkineni Opens up About Her Possessive Ex-Boyfriend

After performing in three blockbusters in 2018 - Rangasthalam, Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai - Samantha Akkineni opened up about her ex-boyfriend. In the film, Mahanati Gemini Ganesan's character’s extra-marital affair causes the personal and professional downfall of the protagonist, Savitri. Comparing her ex to Gemini Ganesan's character, the actor spoke to a Telegu daily about walking out of the relationship when she could.

“Even I would have fallen into such crisis in my personal life like Savitri did. But, thankfully, I realised it in the beginning and walked out of the relationship as soon as I sensed that it could end up bad. And then I’m blessed to have a person like Naga Chaitanya in my life. He’s a gem of everything.”
