1. Akshay-Twinkle Celebrate Their 18th Wedding Anniversary

17 January marks Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s 18th wedding anniversary. The couple were spotted celebrating the big day with close friends, including Bobby Deol, Tania Deol, Anu Dewan and Sunny Dewan, at a restaurant in Mumbai. Twinkle also took to Twitter to share the one ‘gift’ that Akshay had given her.

She wrote, “What did your husband give you for your anniversary? Fortunately, he gave me 18 years of solid friendship, enough space so I could grow and somehow managed to hold my hand for a large part of the way. This is not the end-apparently we are just on page 120! ”

2. Complaint Filed Against T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Later Withdrawn

A sexual harassment case was filed against T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar at Mumbai’s Oshiwara police station on 16 January, and later withdrawn.

According to DNA, the woman had alleged that Kumar offered her a three-film deal in exchange of sleeping with him, and later threatened to not “let her survive in the city if she opened up about the incident to anyone.” When she refused the offer, the film offer too was dropped.

Major OTT platforms such as Netflix, Hotstar, Voot, Zee5, Arre, SonyLIV, ALTBalaji and Eros Now have signed a code of best practices to self-regulate content under the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). The principle idea behind the move is purportedly to strike a balance between creative freedom and protecting consumer interests.

According to a statement issued by the IAMAI, the code “establishes guiding principles for Online Curated Content (OCC) Providers to conduct themselves in a responsible and transparent manner and at the same time ensures that consumer interests are protected”.

Neetu Kapoor gave fans a glimpse of what life is like after nearly four decades of marriage. She recently posted a picture of her “lunch date” with husband Rishi Kapoor and captioned it, “Lunch date. This is what happens after 38 years of marriage. Husband on the phone and I’m clicking selfies.” Rishi Kapoor can be seen engrossed in his phone while a bored Neetu tries to amuse herself by taking a selfie.

5. Wasn’t Given a Reason: Taapsee out of ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’ Remake

Taapsee Pannu has been dropped from the remake of BR Chopra’s 1978 film Pati, Patni Aur Woh. The film is being produced by Bareilly Ki Barfi’s Juno Chopra.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the Manmarziyaan actor was one of the first to be approached for the film. After listening to the narration in November, Taapsee gave the script her nod of approval. The publication quoted the actor as saying, “I was asked to clear my schedule and I complied. Only the clauses remained to be negotiated. But they suddenly vanished.” She also mentioned that she had taken time off from another film to accommodate Pati, Patni Aur Woh. Since the news was sudden, she could not use the dates she had blocked for the remake for another project.
