A sexual harassment case was filed against T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar at Mumbai’s Oshiwara police station on 16 January, and later withdrawn.
According to DNA, the woman had alleged that Kumar offered her a three-film deal in exchange of sleeping with him, and later threatened to not “let her survive in the city if she opened up about the incident to anyone.” When she refused the offer, the film offer too was dropped.

The complaint against Kumar was later however, withdrawn by the woman on the same day. She says in a statement that the allegations are “false”.

T-Series has also released the following statement saying that the woman is not an employee of the organisation and that now she has withdrawn the complaint:
“14th Jan 2019, Krishan Kumar filed a complaint against the said lady at Amboli police station. The lady for quite a while was threatening Krishan Kumar to extort money from him. After several calls and ignoring them initially, Krishan Kumar had to go ahead and file a complaint against her. The lady threatened him that if she doesn’t get the asked money, she will file a false complaint of sexual assault against him and also drag his nephew Bhushan Kumar in it and she did so on 16th Jan afternoon. However, the same evening and as informed by the Oshiwara police station, the lady has withdrawn the false complaint against both of them (statement attached). In the statement she accepts the fact that the allegations are false and were made to extract money from them. She has requested Krishan Kumar to withdraw his complaint as well.”
Incidentally, former beauty queen and Miss Lovely actor Niharika Singh had called out Bhushan Kumar in the wake of the #MeToo movement in Bollywood, along with Sajid Khan.
