A new poster of Akshay Kumar’s Gold has just been launched. It shows Akshay’s face in profile with seven hockey players in action around it, among them Kunal Kapoor and Amit Sadh.
Gold is said to be loosely based on the life of Balbir Singh, who was a part of the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948. Helmed by Reema Kagti, the film also marks the debut of Naagin fame Mouni Roy.

Gold is slated to hit theatres on August 15, 2018, and will clash with John Abraham-Manoj Bajpayee-starrer Satyamev Jayate.
