She said that after the release and success of Vicky Donor, she struggled due to the disconnect between her and Ayushmann as the latter would often spend a lot of time away for work.

2. Aishwarya Rai Signed on for Mani Ratnam’s Historical Drama

Aishwarya Rai has reportedly been signed on for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film, an adaptation of Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan (The Son of Ponni) written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film will be based on the life of Arulmozhivarman, aka Rajaraja Chola I, and will be set during the 10th and 11th centuries. It is allegedly being planned as a multi-lingual big budget production, along the lines of Baahubali.

3. CBFC Replaces Liquor Bottle With Flowers in ‘De De Pyaar De’

We may be living in the 21st century but if there’s one thing that never changes in this country it’s the censor board and their tendency of replacing anything that they deem un-sanskaari with flowers. Yup, you read that right. What we thought was an artefact of the 80s and 90s is now back. The Central Board of Film Classification (CBFC) has ordered the makers of the upcoming Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De to replace a bottle of liquor held by Rakul Preet Singh with a bouquet of flowers.

4. Rajkummar Turned Down ‘Chhapaak’ Opposite Deepika, Here’s Why

On a recent chat show, Stree star Rajkummar Rao revealed that he was the original choice for the male lead in Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming Chhapaak starring Deepika Padukone. Rajkummar couldn’t take up the role because his dates did not fit and Vikrant Massey was cast in the film instead.

5. CBFC Cuts Down the Blood and Gore In Keanu Reeves’ ‘John Wick 3’

John Wick might be unstoppable on the big screen, but he definitely can’t get past the “censor board” in India. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has come down heavily on all the violence, gore and cuss words in Keanu Reeve’s new release John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. The action thriller directed by Chad Stahelski will have a tamed down version in India and will be short by 2 minutes when compared to its international release.
