After the release of Sarbjit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who plays Dalbir Kaur in the film, took time out for a special Q&A with fans on Twitter. No wonder #AskAishwarya was trending! Believe it or not but hubby Abhishek Bachchan, co-star Richa Chadha and producer Jackky Bhagnani also had questions for the Sarbjit star.
Abhishek asked Aishwarya what kept her smiling through such an emotionally draining film. Even though she had a tough time answering this one on a public platform, her reply will melt your heart.

Aishwarya also stressed on how much she believed in the story of Sarbjit, which she feels needs to be told to the audiences across the country.
I’ve answered in depth about the reason why I chose Sarbjit, but I belive this story needs to be told and I believe this movie deserves an audience. Another fan asked the actor about how she prepared for her role and Aishwarya said that she simply followed her instincts because the film’s script is very strong.
Very honestly, Dalbir ji was not a study, it didn’t have a major plan behind it, it was more instinctive and the writing is so strong that the entire premise of the narrative itself seemed to provide ample opportunity for one to be able to just perform straight from the soul, and that’s what I’ve done.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
