If American Presidential Candidate Donald Trump wants to hold rallies for supporters, he can’t do it using Adele’s music, a representative of the British singer told The Independent.
Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.
Trump, a fan of the singer, used Rolling in the Deep and Oscar-winning Skyfall at rallies in Oklahoma and Ohio.
Many of Adele’s fans are happy about the announcement.
Adele is not the first star to react to the use of her music by America’s most controversial presidential candidate. Late last year, Aerosmith’s frontman, Steven Tyler, requested Trump not to use Dream On at his rallies.
In a cease-and-desist letter, lawyers wrote, “It gives the false impression that [Tyler] is connected with or endorses Mr Trump’s presidential bid.”
Neil Young and R.E.M. lead singer, Michael Stipe, were also unhappy with Trump’s use of their songs.
