While he’s still winning accolades for Dangal, Aamir Khan has gone ahead and already immersed himself in his next pet project. And no, it’s not a film. The actor along with Kiran Rao and celebrated Marathi filmmaker Nagraj Manjule have come up with the ‘Satyamev Jayate Water Cup Anthem’ via a music video.

This video comes as a part of 'Water Cup Challenge' to be held between April 8 and May 22, 2017, organised by the Paani Foundation to help drought stricken villages in Maharashtra. The foundation was started last year by Aamir and Kiran to work towards a drought-free Maharashtra state.

The Water Cup challenge aims to create awareness and popularise watershed management in the villages of Maharashtra. There will be a competition between different villages to see who can do the maximum work for watershed management and water conservation and the top three villages will get cash prizes of Rs 50 lakhs, Rs 30 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs respectively.

Apart from Aamir, the music video features popular Marathi stars such as Sai Tamhankar, Sunil Barve, Akash Thosar among others. While Kiran Rao has lent her voice to the anthem, Sairat director Nagraj Manjule has shot it.
