Rishi Kapoor is trolling the trolls again and this time its for little Taimur. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s newborn took social media by storm the day he was born and it was all thanks to his name. There’s been a lot of negative chatter around his controversial name, which is being perceived to have been inspired by Timur Lang, a Turco-Mogol invader who ravaged his way through Asia, Africa and Europe killing thousands during his reign (estimated to be from 1370 till 1405).
Rishi uncle lashed out at the haters on Twitter, saying that what parents decide to name their child is not anyone else’s business.
Rishi Kapoor is not one to mince his words. His angry tweets asked everyone to mind their own business. He makes a valid point that Alexander was no saint either, but children are still named after them till this day.
We couldn’t agree with you more Rishi Kapoor. We even made a video about it.
History is subjective to the extent of the perspective you have. Maybe it’s time to retire the hate and not the name. Who knows, maybe Taimur Ali Khan will work in the future for the cause of peace. Unlike his namesake?
So lay off haters, little Taimur is too young to be controversial.
