Now that the dust has settled and it’s dawning upon people that the US election result was not a nightmare but a reality, Robert De Niro has accepted defeat, in not being able to “punch Trump in the face” as he is now the President.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, he said he can’t punch Trump as it would be illegal now.
Back in October, De Niro called the then Republican candidate a “pig”, “dog”, “punk”, “con”, “bullshit artiste”, “idiot” and “blatantly stupid” after which he went for the knock out and said:
Well, I’d like to punch him (Trump) in the face.Robert De Niro
The actor gave his unabashed take on the US elections as part of a campaign urging people to vote in the 8 November polls.
