A man in Maharashtra raped his daughter for four months and in a miscarriage of justice, the local panchayat thrashed both the victim and the rapist.
The horrific incident took place in Satara district of Maharashtra where both the rapist and the victim were tied up and repeatedly beaten by a cane, in public.
The accused allegedly raped his minor daughter for four months and people of the village came to know about the incident when the girl got pregnant. An RTI activist registered a police complaint and presented pictures of the panchayat’s action as evidence.
