1. Missing IAF AN-32 Pilot’s Wife Was on ATC Duty at Time of Incident
The wife of the IAF pilot who was flying the AN-32 aircraft, saw her husband's flight take off hours before it went missing on 3 June. According to a report in The Indian Express Ashish Tanwar's wife, Sandhya, was stationed art the air traffic control room in Assam's Jorhat then. In the following video Ashish's mother Sharoj urges the Indian government to speed up the investigation to find out what happened to her son who has now been missing for 4 days.
Currently the air force, army and police in a joint operation are searching the crash site in Siang district of Andhra Pradesh.

2. RBI Cuts Repo Rate, Says Online Bank Transfers Now Free of Cost
On the economic front there is good news for all of us by the Reserve Bank of India -
Firstly, RBI cuts their repo rate a third consecutive time - this time by .25 points. This is the lowest it has ever been in the last nine years. Now this is great news as this means loans could now be much cheaper.
Secondly, now bank transfers we make through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) or Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) are all going to be free of cost.

3. AB de Villiers Offered to Play for South Africa: Report
A day after South Africa suffered their third straight loss in the ICC World Cup, this one was against India - a report emerged stating that the former skipper and star batsman AB de Villiers had allegedly approached the team management, offered to come out of retirement and play for the country. Despite his consistent performances in the T20 World Cup and the IPL the management rejected his offer.
Besides not clearing a selection criteria, they reportedly said it would be unfair to others in the squad.
And while we’re on the topic of South Africa losing, there was a special spectator in the stadiums at Southampton cheering on Team India on Wednesday. Ziva Dhoni, MS Dhoni’s daughter, was out cheering her papa.

4. Amit Shah in All 8 Parliamentary Committees, Rajnath in Just 2
Now in the reconstitution of the eight parliamentary committees, Home Minister Amit Shah is in all eight of them. Rajnath Singh is in just 2 committees, he is not part of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs, which he reportedly was a part of in 2014. While PM Modi is part of six of eight, excluding the Cabinet Committees on Accommodation and Parliamentary Affairs.

5. Major Setback for Cong in Telangana After 12 MLAs Want Out
In the south, the Congress suffered a major setback after 12 MLAs of the Congress Legislature Party expressed their eagerness to merge with Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao’s party – the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.
The Congress’ strength in the 119-member assembly is down to 18.

7. Nipah Resurfaces, Kerala on High Alert
After the Nipah Virus resurfaced in Kerala after a 23-year-old was confirmed to be infected by it, the state is on high alert. While two others are under observation at Trivandrum Medical College and six samples have been sent for testing.
