1. Caught on CCTV: Cong Leader Shot Dead in Broad Daylight in Haryana

Haryana Congress leader Vikas Chaudhary was shot dead in Faridabad on Thursday, 27 June. Chaudhary was the state spokesperson of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to condemn the incident and slam the law and order situation in Haryana.

“The murder of Congress spokesperson and leader Vikas Chaudhary in Faridabad is a condemnable, shameful and sad incident. This is a reflection of the deteriorating law and order situation in Haryana," Gandhi wrote in a tweet in Hindi.

The Switzerland government on Thursday, 27 June has frozen four bank accounts belonging to fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi and his sister Purvi, acting on a request made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The financial assets in the four bank accounts reportedly amount to more than $6 million.

The ED had sent a request to the Swiss government to freeze the accounts nearly four months ago.
