Defending champions SRH on the other hand, strengthened their hold on the fourth and final play-offs spot of the Indian Premier League as they beat MI by seven wickets at home.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel reflected on Mumbai’s loss, while SRH mentor VVS Laxman praised Shikhar Dhawan’s batting and Hyderabad’s successful execution of their strategies.
