‘If it was a 20-over game, we had a good chance of winning,’ said SRH’s bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan.

Had Wednesday’s eliminator not been reduced to a 6-over game, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) would’ve had a good chance to win, said bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan.

Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated defending champions SRH by seven wickets via Duckworth-Lewis method in a rain-truncated Indian Premier League Eliminator to enter Qualifier 2 of the tournament in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Opting to bowl first, KKR restricted Sunrisers to a modest 128/7 and then comfortably achieved the revised target of 48 in six overs.

Much against Sunrisers wish, the rain subsided and the target was revised to 48 off six overs after persistent drizzle soon after Sunrisers' innings, stopped the proceedings for more than three hours.
