A woman died and another passenger was seriously injured after falling from a moving bus in Sangrur District of Punjab on Monday.
The incident was captured on the CCTV installed at the bus station. The Punjab Roadways bus was going from Sangrur to Patiala.
The deceased has been identified as Shobha, who was a resident of Nainital and had come to Sangrur for her holidays.
Manju Devi, who was injured in the accident, blamed the driver saying he refused to stop the bus when they asked to, following which she and Shobha fell off the bus as they tried to de-board from the moving vehicle.
The police have started the investigation and are trying to ascertain the cause of the accident.
