The latest addition to the sensational toll plaza incidents in Gurugram is that of a bus driver who not only refused to pay Rs 60 toll tax, but also allegedly tried to run over the manager who stood before his bus, on Sunday morning.
The Quint is in possession of some dramatic CCTV footage from the toll plaza. The incident took place around 11:30 pm. The toll plaza manager said that the bus driver is a habitual toll tax evader and this time he even ordered the toll manager to lift the barrier.
However when the toll plaza employee refused to lift the barrier, the bus driver drove the bus onto the manager who stood in the way and went past the barrier by breaking it.
Luckily, the manager escaped unhurt as he was thrown to the sides and just about missed being crushed under the tyres of the escaping bus.
Gurugram police say they have registered a case against the driver but no arrests have been made as yet.
