Anil Kapoor will soon be seen in Atul Manjrekar’s Fanney Khan, which revolves around a man who gives up on his musical dreams, but wants to see his daughter’s dreams come true. Kapoor, while talking to The Quint, said that the film deals with a lot of issues that are close to his heart and a lot of people would relate to the characters’ struggles, aspirations, dreams, and even issues like body-shaming.
Kapoor even talked about how daughter Sonam Kapoor has dealt with body-shaming and how he overheard his daughter telling her mom about the criticism she faces on a daily basis. He also talked about Arjun Kapoor’s struggle with weight issues.
Anil Kapoor is a father of three, Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardhan. While two of them are actors, Rhea is a stylist and producer. Kapoor confesses that it’s really difficult to work with your own kids. He said he is confused if he should be a father or a professional on the sets. He will be seen for the first time sharing screen space with his daughter Sonam Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Tok Aisa Laga. He will also soon share screen space with his son Harshvardhan Kapoor.
Anil Kapoor said when Sonam asks him if he is enjoying working with her, he prefers to keep quiet because he has no words to explain his feelings. When asked about his father and his equation with him, he says he was a “cool dude” and he followed his father’s footsteps when it came to bringing up his children.
The actor is very excited about the release of his film Fanney Khan which also stars Rajkummar Rao, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Divya Dutta. The film is set to hit theatres on 3 August.
