Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was admitted to a hospital in Chennai around 11 pm on Thursday.
The medical bulletin released by the hospital on Friday afternoon stated that the Chief Minister no longer has fever and is on a normal diet. The hospital, however, added that she is under observation.
Rumours and news reports about Jayalalithaa’s ill-health have been doing the rounds for several months. She even filed a defamation case against web portal rediff.com over an article titled ‘Chennai media knew Jayalalithaa’s health is not fine, but kept mum’.
