A day after Narendra Modi attacked the Samajwadi Party government for building only Shamshaan and not Kabristan in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav hit back at the Prime Minister while addressing a rally in Raebareli.
"It's high time that PM stops doing Mann Ki Baat and focuses on important things," he said.
Referring to Modi's earlier speech in UP, he said, “Modiji respects Ganga a lot, I would like to ask him to swear and tell if Varanasi receives 24 hours of electricity or not”.
“The people of Gujarat are talking about donkeys and claim that we are building Kabristan,” he said.
He also took a jibe at actor Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism, and said, “I would request Amitabh ji to stop advertising for donkeys of Gujarat.”
In a Gujarat tourism advertisement, Amitabh Bachchan can be seen promoting a Wild Ass Sanctuary. Akhilesh, during his rally, mocked the ad in form of a poetry.
