In the past few months, the world has witnessed a spate of ugly hacking incidents. From the National Security Agency (NSA) in the US – one of the most secured servers in the world – to major Indian servers like BSNL, IIT-Delhi and Delhi University, all have been compromised.

According to research by cyber security firm Symantec, India is among the most vulnerable countries as far as cyber threats are concerned. The number of cyber attacks has risen radically in the last few years.

The recent hacking of Indian websites by Pakistani hackers has sent alarm bells ringing all over the country. Hackers today have the means to breach security firewalls. It is important then, to accept the fact that anyone can be hacked.
