Samsung had a harrowing time in 2016 with the Galaxy Note 7 and the saga of battery explosions.

However, that hasn’t deterred Samsung from forging ahead with the Note brand. After all, Note is what heralded the so-called phablets. Note 7 didn’t even make it to the Indian market in 2016, but the new one has reached the shores. The Galaxy Note 8 is priced at Rs 67,900, making it the first $1,000 flagship phone in India.

5. India's First Bullet Train Project: What's It All About?

India is all set to get its first bullet train, which will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. It will cover a distance of 508 kilometres in just about 2 hours and 7 minutes at its fastest, and is capable of reaching a top speed of 350 kmph.

It will be built at a cost of Rs 1.1 lakh crore and is set to become operational by 15 August 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe are laying the foundation stone for this project.
