Microsoft unveiled the Windows 10 operating system this year and is set to launch it later this summer. Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 would be available to consumers on July 29.
Earlier, an online retailer, newegg.com, had leaked the date of the release and the prices of different versions of Windows 10.
Microsoft would offer that operating system for free even to users who have pirated copies of the operating system.
Microsoft’s Terry Myerson wrote in a blog post on the official site that — On July 29, you can get Windows 10 for PCs and tablets by taking advantage of the free upgrade offer, or on a new Windows 10 PC from your favorite retailer.
Newegg.com has already listed Windows 10 Home at $109.99 and the Professional version at $149.99.
The operating system will be a big step forward from the Windows 8 operating system, which had its issues.
Windows 10 is expected to bring the best of Windows 8.1 experience and the conventional Windows 7 interface.
The smartphone version of Windows 10 is also expected to launch later this year.
