When it comes to high-end audio gear specialists, Bose and Jaybird are top of mind in terms of brand recall. The latter may be new in India but looks like it’s here to stay.

For now, all you need to know is that Jaybird has launched its X2 wireless headphone in the country and priced it at Rs 15,999. You can buy one of these from Headphonezone.in.

What’s Good?

You can control music, make calls without fiddling with the headphone because of the placement of controls. There’s nothing to complain about the audio quality of the Jaybird X2. They offer a balanced bass and treble audio experience.

Jaybird has ensured that the specific music genre confinement does not limit any user’s choice for the X2.

The last thing to note about the Jaybird X2 is the long-standing battery life and for a Bluetooth headphone, that’s critical.

Jaybird says that they can last for 8 hours but while using it we found the life to be lower than the claim – at around 6 hours – which is not bad at all.

What’s Bad?

Premium things cost a lot and the Jaybird X2 is priced much higher than a regular Bose in-ear headphone. At Rs 15,999 the Jaybird X2 does not come cheap and for all the features that it offers.

Tastes vary among audio enthusiasts, and the X2 is only suited for people who like their music crisp and sharp.

Why Buy It?

Jaybird is a brand that is neither Bose nor the usual culprits like JBL or Sennheiser. It’s meant for fitness seekers who like to carry their music on the run and prefer the audio to be of the highest quality.

Sure they are exorbitantly priced but, we like the fact that the Jaybird X2 is wireless and comes with a long battery life.

Make no mistake, Jaybird X2 is quite good but not at this price.
