Google’s had a busy time this week, with not one but two of its products shutting down on the same day, Wednesday 2 April.

We’re talking about Google+ which was supposed to be Google’s competition for Facebook and Twitter, and Inbox, the mailing app which slowly saw all of its features going over to Gmail.

While Inbox was expected to meet its end, Google+ had to bear brunt of a recent data mishap which was widely reported and likely to have affected over 50 million with accounts on Google.

But while these apps are closing shop this week, there’s a new mailing app which has made its way to Android, and it promises data safety for users.

It’s called Spark, made by Readdle and while it has been available to iOS and Mac OS users, Android peeps can finally make use of it.

It promises to offer intuitive features like smart replies, filter your mails depending on its nature and also promises to never serve you ads. This probably means, users and mailing activities will never be tracked by the company.

The Spark app for Android only works on mobile for now and is likely to get the tablet version in the coming weeks.

The other important thing worth knowing is that you can sync accounts from other mailing clients like Outlook, Yahoo and even Gmail. These features, if you remember, were also available on Inbox and options like smart compose and smart replies gradually were offered to Gmail users as well.

The app is freely available on Google Play Store for Android users and those looking to unlock more features can try out the Teams version of Spark, where users can engage in private emails conversations. Readdle is hoping that users on Inbox will likely switch to Spark and enjoy its features.
