Apple has launched the new iPad Pro with all-screen slim bezel design and a slimmer form factor. The design of the new iPad has undergone a complete overhaul. Now, it comes with lesser bulk and more screen size.
The Apple iPad has been launched in two variants being the 11-inch which comes in at $799 while the 12.9-inch model comes in at $999. Both the iPad will be available starting next week.
The all-new design accommodates a Liquid Retina displays which ditches the home button and now integrates the Face ID feature to securely unlock the iPad.
The new 11-inch iPad Pro packs a bigger display with more pixels in the same footprint as the 10.5-inch model, yet still weighs just 1.2 kilograms. Both models are just 5.9 mm thin — the thinnest iPad design ever!
Inside, the new iPad Pro is powered by a A12X Bionic chip which, Apple says, is capable of outperforming most of today’s PC laptops. Even the graphics processing has been bolstered which is now capable of delivering console level details and performance.
The biggest addition, and perhaps the one that's being welcomed by many, is the inclusion of the new USB Type-C port. Now inter-connectivity and transferring data will be much easier. It also comes with 1TB of internal storage.
A second-generation Apple Pencil has also been introduced which now magnetically attaches to iPad Pro and wirelessly charges at the same time. A new touch sensor built onto Apple Pencil detects taps, introducing an entirely new way to interact within apps.
In addition to this, the iPad Pro’s new Smart Keyboard Folio features a streamlined design that’s adjustable for added versatility. The new iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard Folio are available to order starting today and in stores starting 7 November.
The company is touting the new iPad Pro to deliver up to 10-hours of battery life.
