Xiaomi is scheduled to launch the Mi A3 on 21 August and the device is slotted to be a contender in the mid-range category. The new Xiaomi Mi A3 will come with a 6-inch HD+ display and will run on the Android One platform. The display is also expected to be a bezel-less one.
In terms of specifications, the Mi A3 will run on a Snapdragon 655 process coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with 128GB of internal storage with possibly an option to expand.
The phone is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000. This device is the successor to the Mi A2 which was launched back in July 2018.
The Mi A3 weighs in at 173 grams. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie and is backed by an Adreno 610 graphics processor. Since the phone is backed by Google’s Android One program it is bound to receive all the latest software updates and security patches as soon as Google rolls them out.
The rear camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel sensor coupled with an 8-megapixel secondary snapper and a 2-megapixel sensor as well for depth sensing. On the front, it comes with a 32-megapixel camera which is also AI-enabled just like the rear camera.
The Mi A3 will come with a 4030 mAh battery with support for fast charging and will also offer Bluetooth 5.0 with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
In the sub-20k price range, the phone comes with direct competition with the likes of the Motorola One Vision and also the Vivo S1.
