Shimron Hetmyer (75 off 47) and Gurkeerat Singh Mann (65 off 48) added a 144-run stand to help Royal Challengers Bangalore win their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. Kohli’s men chased down 176 with four balls to spare.
RCB were 20/3 when both of them joined hands and added a match-winning 144-run stand to give their team a much-deserved win. The win left the fans at the stadium entertained and exhilarated as the match went right down to the wire. Also fittingly, the winning runs were hit by Umesh Yadav who went for 28 in the 20th over.
Sunrisers Hyderabad despite their best efforts, could not prevent RCB from winning the game. What this also means is that they will have to wait for the outcome of the Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians match to know whether they are in playoffs.
SRH will hope for Kolkata to lose the game, while a win for KKR will mean that they will be the fourth team to qualify for the playoffs along with Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.
