On Saturday, something quite extraordinary happened — nationalism got a price tag for Rs 5 crore.

The MNS chief, Raj Thackeray met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Producer’s Guild President Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar and decided that producers have to pay Rs 5 crore to the army fund, for every time they have signed a Pakistani actor in their films. They will also have to submit in writing that they will not cast Pakistani actors in their films from now.

The move did not sit well with people as it’s being seen as plain goonda-raj of the right-wing party.
