Poet and lyricist, Javed Akhtar took to Twitter earlier this morning to protest against Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju’s tweets against Gurmehar Kaur. Gurmehar, who is the daughter of a slain Army officer, was campaigning against ABVP-led violence on campuses.
Rijiju had earlier tweeted asking “Who’s polluting this young girl’s mind?”
The Minister seemed to equate Gurmehar’s stand as an anti-Indian Army one.
