Asked if she accepted Trump as her President she would only say, " I accept that he is holding the office of the United States President's for the next four years". Padma Lakshmi, who had campaigned for Hillary Clinton, had called Trump a "racist buffoon" during the campaign, words she said she stood by. "I would only add, he is dangerous too."
She also spoke to Barkha Dutt about her books, her Madras memories and decision to go public with her personal life.
