Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 kicked off with its inaugural show at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai. Designer Gaurav Gupta debuted his new collection titled The (Un)folding with handwoven fabrics, fluid silhouettes and dresses embellished with Lucknowi chikankari work and Benarasi brocade.
Karan Johar and Tabu were showstoppers for the night. While KJo walked the ramp in a sequinned red jacket, Tabu stunned in a floaty sliver number with delicate origami-like embellishments. Check out pics here:
Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 runs from 30 January to 3 February. The focus this year is on sustainable and eco-friendly clothing. Several A-list designers, including Anita Dongre, Ragvendra Rathore and Shantanu & Nikhil, will showcase their collections at the event.
