Supporters of Akhilesh Yadav point to the poor showing of the Congress in 2012 results, where the SP won eight of the 10 Assembly seats in the two constituencies and the Congress delivered just two. Speaking to Barkha Dutt, the UP CM Akhilesh Yadav said no further big concessions were possible in the two seats and that he would not be withdrawing his candidate Gayatri Prajapati from Amethi.
