The Pakistani media has come out all guns blazing against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech lashing out at Pakistan for the Uri terror attack.

Most of the major dailies described his speech as ‘spewing hate’ against Pakistan. Pakistani citizens also took to Twitter to react and Bilawal Bhutto had some acid remarks for Modi.

Pakistani officials also accused him of “irresponsible behaviour” and said his remarks were part of a “well-thought-out vilification campaign” to distract attention from Kashmir and “tried to malign Pakistan”.

Pakistani Reports and Opinions Paint Modi as a ‘Hate-Monger’

Right after his speech in Kozhikode, anti-Modi sentiment was running wild and free in a chain of reports and opinion pieces in Pakistani media outlets.

Dawn, a major English daily of Pakistan, ran the headline ‘Modi continues tirade against Pakistan over Uri attack’ saying “there seemed to be little enthusiasm for much of his address”.

In the same vein, Geo TV, a leading news channel of Pakistan, said that “India threatens to isolate Pakistan globally but doesn’t mention how Russia is in Pakistan for a joint military drill.” It also highlighted India’s poverty statistics and cheekily asked how Modi plans to end poverty while he keeps Kashmir “captured”.

Bilawal Bhutto was among the many who made strong anti-Modi remarks.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday threatened Pakistan of “isolating it in the entire world” – the latest episode of his anti-Pakistan hate-mongering despite calls for restraint amid heightened tensions between the two countries.

The News, another English daily, carried an opinion piece saying:

Modi threatened to isolate Pakistan. But he forgot that for the past 70 years since independence, India is working hard against Pakistan but to its great bad luck and embarrassment Pakistan has been progressing and has become a nuclear power. In spite of the relentless, uninterrupted Indian struggles, Pakistan has not been isolated.
It is difficult to find a single Pakistani who doesn’t consider Modi a permanent enemy, having pathological hatred against Pakistan.

In a strongly-worded opinion piece published by The Express Tribune, the author called out Modi for blaming Pakistan for Uri. It said:

They were able to link the attackers with Pakistan even before the fiasco became public, quite an achievement for the geniuses who have yet to learn as to how these four crossed the most heavily fortified security system in the area.

It also had some insight to give on the lack of evidence against Pakistan, saying:

Would any intelligence agency in the world, much less ISI, ever leave fingerprints on the scene of the crime? Do Indians expect anyone in the world to believe this fable?

The News carried a report blaming India for encouraging terrorist activity in Pakistan.

Confessions of Indian spy Kulbushan Yadav revealed that New Delhi fuels terrorist activities in various parts of Pakistan, said Foreign Office in a tit-for-tat response to Narendra Modi.

Pakistanis Lash out on Twitter

Bilawal Bhutto, Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party, tweeted a scathing remark against Modi.

Reacting to Amit Shah’s comment on the Uri attack saying that Pakistan has forced a long war upon India, a Pakistani user on Twitter said India forced a war upon themselves.
