Canadian ministers Navdeep Bains and Jagmeet Singh recently engaged in a Bhangra dance-off at a fundraising gala, which helped raise a whopping $50,000 over the course of the evening.

The event was held by the Seva Food Bank in Ontario, Canada.

The Seva Food Bank is an initiative run by Sikhs in Ontario to ensure food security, reported Scroll.in. Last week, when the organisation held their fundraising gala – Seva Spark 2018 – Bains and Singh sportingly agreed to participate in a dance-off in order to raise the funds needed, a move which won widespread appreciation of people on social media.

While Navdeep Bains is currently the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Jagmeet Singh is the head of the New Democratic Party (NDP). Both are members of the South Asian community in Canada and are heavily engaged in its causes.

They are seen as likely candidates to be prime minster of Canada.
