Though US President Barack Obama is slated to leave the White House next year, Washington DC can rejoice that he will be sticking around in the vicinity for some more time, reports CNN.
Obama has confirmed that his family will stay in Kalorama DC, till his youngest daughter Sasha graduates from high school. We wonder who’ll be lucky enough to have such cool neighbours?
Politico reported that the President and the First Lady will lease a lavish nine bedroom, eight-and-a-half bathroom mansion in Kalorama, Washington. The house belongs to former White House press secretary Joe Lockhart and Giovanna Gray.
Gorgeous, seems like an understatement when describing this sprawling 1928 mansion.
See for yourself!
When the Washington Post asked Obama about why he wants to stay on in Washington, Obama confessed that he did not want to pull his youngest daughter out of school and away from her friends.
He quipped,
Transferring someone in the middle of high school — tough.
