According to reports, state officials in Dubai have completed the autopsy on Sridevi and the late actor’s body will now be flown back to Mumbai by Monday evening. However, according to a report in the Khaleej Times, there continues to be a delay in handing over the actor’s body to her relatives. Reports say that the forensics department is yet to submit blood test results to the Dubai Police for the release of Sridevi’s body. The reason for the delay is not known as yet, but it is expected to be completed in a few hours.

Sridevi passed away on Saturday night. Though there has been no official word from the family yet, the funeral is likely to take place on Monday itself in Juhu.

The Kapoor family’s good friend and Indian business magnate Anil Ambani has sent a private jet to bring the actor’s body back. The 13-seater private jet, (Embraer-135BJ) belonging to Reliance Transport & Travel Ltd, has reportedly already left Mumbai for Dubai around 1.30 pm on Sunday.

According to Khaleej Times, once forensic reports are handed over, the body will be taken for embalming. The police will issue a death certificate, and after the public prosecutor gives permission to hand over the body, her family can bring it back to India.
