1. Uzbek Woman Raped by Friend in Delhi
An Uzbek national was thrashed by her friend and two others, and then raped in a hotel in East Delhi on Friday, according to a Hindustan Times report.
The 23-year-old woman had dinner with her friend in a hotel, where the man and two others, who joined them at around 2 am, allegedly asked her to have sex with them. On refusal, the woman was thrashed by the men. The woman was later raped by her friend.
The matter is being investigated, although no arrests have been made in connection to the case yet.
2. Chhattisgarh Policeman Arrested for Raping Minor
A Chhattisgarh police official was today arrested for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in the state’s insurgency-hit Dantewada district, according to a PTI report.
A complaint was filed against the police constable by the victim’s relative.
The constable, on finding the victim alone in her relative’s house, had locked the house and forced himself upon her. The accused has been booked under various sections of the IPC.

3. Delhi Woman Gang-raped in Moving Car
According to a Hindustan Times report, a woman has alleged that she was abducted and raped by three men on Saturday
The woman, says the report, was on her way to a 24x7 store when three men from a Swift car forced her into the car and raped her.
A case has been registered and three men have been detained.
4. Five-Year-Old Boy Beaten to Death in Meerut
A five-year-old boy was allegedly beaten to death by his inebriated uncle over some monetary dispute with his family on Sunday, says report by The Indian Express.
The uncle tried to hide the body in a drain, weighing it down with stones and bricks, but it was found the next morning.
The uncle has been absconding since Sunday and an FIR has been filed against him.
5. Four Youths Assaulted by Pub Staff in Gurgaon
Four youths were allegedly assaulted by the staff of a pub and denied entry after they found them to be residents of another city, according to a PTI report.
The victims on Sunday were not allowed entry into the pub, the reason cited being that they were from another city. In the argument that followed, the youths were beaten up by the bouncers and the manager.
The incident was captured on CCTV and investigations are still on.

6. Man Killed in Land Dispute in Rajasthan
A man was crushed under a jeep by men over a land dispute in Nagaur District of Rajasthan, according to a Hindustan Times report.
The victim was a Dalit and was killed by Upper caste men, pointing to it being a caste-based crime.
The family of the deceased alleged that their land had been held as security by a local moneylender, but even after repaying the loan, the land was not returned. The victim had been called by the men to discuss the matter, but was mowed down by the accused’s car.
The police have started a manhunt to nab the accused.
7. Woman Abducted, Raped for Five Days in UP
According to a PTI report, a woman was abducted and raped last month in Meghapur village in Uttar Pradesh.
The case was registered in court on 12 June, said police sources.
The woman was abducted in a car and taken to an uknown place by three men, where they raped her for five days.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC.

8. Two Mill Workers Found Murdered in Tamil Nadu
Two textile mill workers were found murdered today near their home at Palladam in Tirupur district, according to a PTI report.
Bodies of Shekhar and Ramkumar, both hailing from north India, were found near their homes with multiple stab wounds, said police sources.
Police suspect that they might have been murdered by two of their north Indian co-workers who have been absconding since the incident.
The police is still searching for the suspects.
9. Man Killed by Mother and Kin Over Property Dispute
A PTI report said that a man was allegedly killed by his mother and two brothers at Nagla Neta village in Mathura district, UP, after he demanded that the property be divided among the three brothers.
The wife of the deceased claimed that the man was beaten to death with lathis by his two brothers and mother.
While the mother has been arrested, the two brothers are absconding.
