Digital Museum in Memory of Adivasi Freedom Fighters: PM Modi

Invoking the memory of the Adivasi tribals who had laid down their lives during India’s struggle for freedom, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government would build digital museums as a “tribute to their bravery.”

Some say that only a handful of people died fighting for the freedom of our nation, but it seems they’ve forgotten history. Many Adivasis came to the front and even laid down their lives for our country, despite British executing hundreds of their fighters. We want to build digital museums to pay tribute to their bravery.

'Work Towards New India by 2022'

Addressing a rally at Gujarat’s Dabhoi, PM Modi urged the nation to strive towards a ‘New India’ by 2022, to mark the 75th year of Independence.

Let us leave no stone unturned in creating a ‘New India’ by 2022, when we mark 75 years of India’s freedom.

Citing Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Dr Ambedkar, Modi said that the two leaders gave importance to waterways and irrigation during their stint as Ministers.

He also termed the newly-inaugurated Sardar Sarovar Dam as an “engineering miracle”, which will benefit the farmers of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

He thanked the temples in Gujarat for contributing towards the construction of the dam, at a time when the World Bank had denied funding the project.
