This is the 44th edition of the Prime Minister’s monthly programme.

PM Modi hailed the 6-member women crew of INSV Tarini who circumnavigated the globe – having spent 254 days at sea – before returning to India on 21 May.

“Everyone Is Saying #HumFitTohIndiaFit”

This is the 44th edition of the Prime Minister’s monthly programme.

The Prime Minister hailed the #HumFitTohIndiaFit Challenge, started by Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and said that he accepted Indian men’s cricket captain Virat Kohli’s challenge for the same.

The challenge has resonated with people across the spectrum, the PM said. Responding to a phone call from a listener, Modi urged youngsters to devote their summer vacations playing the traditional outdoor games like gilli-danda, kho kho, etc.

Of Environment Day & Yoga Day

This is the 44th edition of the Prime Minister’s monthly programme.

Saying that India was delighted to hold this year’s World Environment Day programme, the Prime Minister spoke about the need to be in harmony with nature. He sited examples of the massive duststorms in different parts of the country to say that Indian tradition taught one to be at peace with nature, not fight it.

He also talked about the 4th World Yoga Day, which will be observed on 21 June.

Tributes For Nehru And Savarkar

This is the 44th edition of the Prime Minister’s monthly programme.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary.

He also hailed the achievements of VD Savarkar, on his birth anniversary, saying that he was among the first to call the Revolt of 1857 the “first battle for independence” as opposed to the British narrative of a “sepoy mutiny”.

The Prime Minister concluded his speech by wishing those who were observing Ramzan and looking forward to Eid, calling it the “onset of festivities”.

Shortly after the 27 May edition of Mann Ki Baat ended, The Border Security Force tweeted about being mentioned in the show, highlighting their contributions to keeping the Himalayas clean.
