He has had internal bleeding, due to which he had to undergo a surgery immediately, according to doctors attending to him.

“At 2 pm, the Justice was brought in with multiple stab injuries. Our team of doctors immediately administered CPR and took him to the operating theatre. One of the more serious stab wounds was in the stomach and there was excessive bleeding. The situation was critical, but now we have got it under control and the patient is stable. There is no reason to worry at all,” said doctors treating him.

“We performed four surgeries from 2:30 pm to 6 pm in the chest stomach thigh and hand," said Dr Diwakar who operated upon him. Justice Shetty is now being treated at the Critical Care Unit of the Hospital.

The doctor also said that he had excessive bleeding and that has been controlled. With regard to a possibility of discharge soon, the doctor said that it would not be possible to decide that as he will have to remain under observation for some time. He underwent surgeries for wounds in his chest, abdomen, thigh and legs on Tuesday.

In the past, he had also undergone a bypass surgery and is also diabetic. Doctors said that care would be taken keeping these factors in mind as well.
