1. NSG Commando Charged For Allegedly Molesting 11-Year-Old: Police
A case has been registered against a National Security Guard (NSG) commando for allegedly molesting a 11-year-old girl in the force's Manesar campus, an official said on Friday.
An FIR under the POCSO act has been registered against the commando -- Parminder Kumar.
On 15 July, Kumar allegedly stopped the girl when she was returning home and took her to an isolated place where he molested her.
"The victim lives with her mother in the residential complex inside the NSG campus. Her mother is a teacher in the NSG school," said Meena, Station House Office (SHO) of women police station, Manesar.

2. Noida Man Booked for ‘Objectionable Post’ on PM Modi
A Greater Noida resident was booked Friday for allegedly making objectionable comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. An FIR has been filed against the man under Section 66 of the IT Act (offensive messages on the internet) and 153 (B) (assertions prejudicial to national integration) at Dankaur police station.
“The online comments have been submitted to us as proof. We will analyse the statements and take action accordingly. We will also question him with regards to his intention. No arrest has been made,” said Farmood Ali, SHO (Dankaur).

3. Two Arrested for Killing Three People in Navi Mumbai
Two brothers from Madhya Pradesh were arrested on Thursday by the Navi Mumbai police for allegedly killing three people in Turbhe last week.
The men, identified as Sheru Pathan (24) and Sebu Pathan (25), were nabbed from their house in a village near Satna in Madhya Pradesh, and brought to Navi Mumbai on Friday, police said. The two have been accused in the murder of Rajesh Pal (30), Irshad Khan (20), and his brother Javvad Khan (19), who were found dead on 13 July at a scrap dealers shop in Turbhe.

4. Godman Held for Molesting Woman in Mumbai
A self-styled godman was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting a woman, a resident of Lower Parel, and cheating her of Rs 12 lakh over three years on the pretext of resolving familial troubles.
The complainant had come in contact with the accused, Kiran alias Gurumaa, in 2016, after hitting a roadblock in her relationship with her in-laws. The accused made the woman carry out several religious rituals, and demanded to be paid with expensive jewellery, clothes, and cash, which amounted to Rs 12.75 lakh.

5. Man Convicted for Murdering Woman in Busy Market in 2017
A sessions court sentenced a 32-year-old man to life imprisonment for murdering a 19-year-old female sales executive of an Ayurvedic products store in Sector 21 on 28 March, 2017.
The police said the accused used to stalk her and had proposed to her. However, she refused, following which the man shot her dead. Additional sessions judge Prashant Rana also imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on the convict for murder. He will be required to serve six additional months of rigorous imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine.
The court also awarded him rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years and a fine of ₹10,000 under the Arms Act.

6. Mistaken for Thief, Dalit Man Beaten Up, Set Afire; Three Arrested: Police
The police have arrested three persons for attempt to murder after they mistook a Dalit man for a thief, allegedly assaulted him and then set him on fire in Barabanki’s Dewa police station area Thursday.
“According to the complaint lodged by the youth’s wife, around 2 am on Thursday, her 22-year-old husband was on his way to Tai Kala village to her father’s house when some dogs started chasing him,” said Pramod Kumar Singh, SHO, Dewa police station.
“He hid in a house when some local residents caught him and suspected him of being a thief. A group of four persons in Raghav Purwa village thrashed him and then set the lower half of his body on fire after sprinkling petrol. We were informed by a local resident and sent a police team to the area. They took him to the nearest hospital and he was referred to the district hospital,” he added.

7. Human Trafficking Kingpin Held in Ranchi’s Khunti
Jharkhand police made a big success by arresting human trafficking kingpin, Panna Lal Mahto, accused of buying and selling thousands of girls, in Khunti district, police claimed on Friday.
Mahato is accused of selling at least 5,000 Jharkhand children, mostly tribal girls, to employers in New Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.Police also seized several documents related to illegal land deals and trafficking from his possession.
He was arrested from Khunti Tola under Khunti police station on Thursday midnight, said deputy superintendent of police (headquarters), Jaideep Lakra. He said, “We got a tip-off that Mahto was at the house of one Pakhnu Ganjhu in Khunti tola. When we reached to raid the house, he tried to flee with his SUV car but we caught him.”

8. 24-Year-Old Delhi Man Kills Stepfather For Beating His Mother: Police
Fed up of his stepfather for beating his mother, a 24-year-old man allegedly shot him dead in Outer Delhi's Narela area on Friday, police said.
After killing his stepfather, Munna Khan, 24 called up police and informed them about the murder, they said.
"Khan called Narela Industrial Area police station and informed them about the incident. Police immediately reached the spot and the accused was nabbed," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Gaurav Sharma said.

9. Pune Man Killed Himself To Complete Task In Online Game: Police
A 20-year-old man allegedly hanged himself in Maharashtra's Pune while trying to complete a task in a Blue Whale-like online game, police said Friday.
An official identified the youngster as commerce student Diwakar Mali of the city's Lonikand area.
"Before hanging himself on Wednesday evening, he left a note which said ''the black panther which was in the cage is free now and he is no longer in any kind of restrictions. The End''," the official informed.
The official said the message was possibly alluding to his task in the online game, with Mali referring to himself as "black panther".
